Dans l'ombre d'Excalibur (In the shadow of Excalibur) is a cfb game i'm creating where we play women looking for the Grail to save the post-Arthur Britain from an eternal night.
This threat is posed by the Fey King who made a deal with Mordred to rule over the night. After the battle of Camlann, Mordred is now dead, Arthur gone to Avalon and the Fey King has begun a ritual to replace the light of the day by the shadows of the night. But queen Guinevere has called for help and the PCs have answered.
Gameplay wise, we explore places of mysteries to collect Clues to answer a question linked to the place. Some Clues are Grail Clues used to theorize the place and true nature of the Grail at the end of the campaign. The last session takes place where the Grail is (wherever the PCs decided it is thanks to a specific move in the prior session) and PCs are confronted with the Fey who try to corrupt the Grail.
At the moment, the game is comprised of two modes: Campaign Mode and Oneshot Mode (where there is only one mystery before finding the Grail).
PCs are defined by a playbook which has two notable features: the Heart and the Seasons.
Seasons are keywords linked to seasons and are used as stats. The Heart is comprised of items which are the core of the playbook: the Wife has her Opinions, the Mother has her Memories, the Knightress her *faits d'armes* etc. The exact items are defined by the players during each session and linked to the keywords of the seasons. They are used at the end to prevent the corruption of the Grail.
There are 7 playbooks to choose from: the Squire, the Knightress, the Wife, the Mother, the Enchantress, the Heiress, and the Lady.
I have been playtesting for the last months, the game is evolving quite nicely.```

This looks beautiful! I wish I understood enough French to read and play it.
Thank you! The credits go to Gaël Sacré (https://willox.itch.io/) for the visual aspect.

J'ai testé le prototype et le jeu a beaucoup de potentiel ! C'est très chouette !
Merci! On va continuer à le peaufiner pour l’améliorer.
